My supplier teamed up with Jamieson & Smith to bring this woollen spun, completely undyed, 100% Shetland Wool in fingering weight, which makes it perfect to use in conjunction with Jamieson's spindrift yarns for colorwork sweater, hats, etc.

Shetland wool is an incredibly natural and sustainable fibre, and is world renowned for its fineness and warmth. Shetland Sheep graze on the islands' hills and beaches eating wild heather and seaweed. This diet, along with the not-so-great weather, makes Shetland wool soft, strong and warm.

This yarn is supplied with the natural spinning oils left in, so I've washed each skein before adding it to my shop.

Suggested Needle/Hook Sizes and Gauge:
Needle Size: 2.5 - 4mm needles and C-G Hook
Gauge (stocking stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles
